The Brothers of the Academy is a multidisciplined network of Black males with or in the pursuit of advanced and terminal degrees from diverse academic and professional institutions from across the United States. Their membership represent a unique minority in the United States - Black men with Doctorate Degrees that are committed to scholar-activism. For more information about BOTA please click here.

Sisters of the Academy founded in 2001, the mission of Sisters of the Academy(SOTA) Institute is to facilitate the success of Black women in the Academy. Specifically, the organization aims to:
Create an educational network of Black women in higher education in order to foster success in the areas of teaching,
Scholarly inquiry and service to the community,
Facilitate collaborative scholarship among Black women in higher education,
Facilitate the development of relations to enhance members' professional development.
